2017 Massachusetts Poetry Festival, May 5th- May 7th
Poet Jacqueline Morrill and I are co-teaching a poetry-in-the-classroom workshop called “Queer & Kindred: Opening the Doors to Identity Through Poetry” for educators, youth mentors, parents, anyone interested in using poetry to help create a safe space for LGBTQI students in our classrooms and buildings. Join me at the Southborough Public Library where we’ll discuss poems by Federico Garcia Lorca (Feb. 8th) and Pablo Neruda (Feb. 22nd). We’ll write based on similar themes in their work. Free and open to the public. You do not need to attend both!
